βειωι τῶιβανωι τῷ διασημοτάτωι ἐπάρχωι Αἰγύπτου παρὰ Διδαροῦ ἀρχιερατεύσαντος τῆς Ἀρσινοιτῶν πόλεως. ὅτι τοὺς λογογράφους τοὺς ὑπὸ τῶν βουλῶν χειροτονουμένους εἰς τὸ προσεδρεύειν τῷ σῷ ἀχράν τῳ δικαστηρίῳ, ἡγεμὼν δέσποτα, καὶ γραμμάτων ἐπιστήμονας εἶναι προσήκει καὶ ἐκ τῆς βουλείαςκαὶ προθύμως ὁρμωμένους οὐ λέληθεν τὴν σὴν ἀνδρείαν. ἐμὲ γοῦν ἐν διατρίβοντα καὶ γεωργίᾳ σχολάζοντα ἐν τῇ κρατίστῃ βούλῃ τῆς Ἀρσινοι τῶν πόλεως τινὲς ἀπόντα εἵλαντο εἰς λογογραφίαν ἀνεπιτήδειον ὄντα καὶ γράμματα σχεδὸνδον ἐπιστάμενον οὐδὲ πολιτευσάμενόν ποτε. καὶ μετὰ ἡμέ ρας ἀνελθὼν ἐπὶ τῆς μητροπόλεως καὶ τοῦτο μαθὼν οὐδὲ ἔκκλη τον ποιεῖσθαι ἐδυνήθηνἐκκληθην τῷ καὶ τὰς ἡμέρας τὰς νενομισμένας, δεῖ γὰρ παρὰ τὸν λέγεινκαιρὸν ειν τὰ ἀληθῆ, παρεληλυθέναι ἀλλὰἀλλʼ ἐπιστάλματι χρησάμενος ἐνέτυχον τῇ κρατίστῃ βουλῇ διὰ τοῦ ἐνάρχου πρυτάνεως Ἀθηναίου ἀγορανομήσαντος γυμνασιαρχήσαντος βουλευτοῦ σημαίνων ὡς καθέστηκα ὅπως διορθωσάμενοι ἑαυτοὺς αὐτοῖς πέπρακται τὸν ἀντʼ ἐμοῦ ἐπιτήδειον τοτε μου ἐπιτηδει κασιν. διʼ ὅπερ κατέφυγον ἐπὶ τὸ σὸν μεγαλεῖον μοῦντας τοῖς ἐνταῦθα τοὺς δυναμένους τ θῆναι κληθῆναι ὑπὸ τοῦ σοῦ μεγαλείου κα ν προσεδρεύσω τῷ σῷ ἀχράντῳ δικαστηρίῳ ἐπιδέδωκα. ἔτους Φαῶφι εConnections
