Ζήνωνι χαίρειν Πεττυκᾶμις ὁ κεραμεὺς ἀφʼ Ἱερᾶς Νήσου. πεῖραν μένμέμ μου εἴληφας εἴτε εἰμὶ τεχνίτης εἴτε καὶ οὔ. ἵνα οὖν, εἰ μέλλω ἐργάζεσθαι, ἀναγκαῖόν με τοὺς τεχνίτας τοὺς μέλλοντάς μοι εἶναι χρησίμους κατίσχειν μετʼ ἐμαυτοῦ. προσπαραλήψομαι δὲ καὶ Παῆσιν καὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς αὐτοῦ· δοκιμάζω γὰρ αὐτούς, ἅμα δὲ καὶ τῆς γῆς τῆς ἐνταῦθα οὐκ ἄπειροίἄπιροί εἰσιν. ὥρα δέ ἐστιν ἐργάζεσθαι ἀπὸ τοῦ Θῶυθ, ἵνα τὰ ἔργα χωρίς τε συντελεσ θῇ ἐν ὥραι καὶ ἅμα χρήσιμα. εὐτύχει. καὶ τὸν τόπον κέλευσόνκέλευσόμ μοι παραδεῖξαι ἐν ὧι ἐργῶμαι.Cross-references (3)
