Τῆς δὲ σῆς δικαίας ἀντιλήψεως τὴν ἐπὶ σὲ καταφυγὴν πεποιημέναι ἀξιοῦμεν σʼ ἐμβλέψαντʼ εἰς τὸν γεγονότα ὑπʼ αὐτοῦ ἐὰν φαίνηται μεταδόνθʼ ἡμῖν τῶν παρὰ σοῦ φιλανθρώπων συντάξαι γράψαι οἷς καθήκει ὅπως μὴ περισπώμεθα ἐπὶ τὰ μὴ καθήκοντα κριτήρια, εἰ δέ τι οἴεται ἐπὶ τοῦ Σαντοβίθυος τὰ καθʼ ἡμᾶς διεξα χθῆι. Τούτου δὲ γενομένου ἐσόμεθα διὰ σὲ ἀντειλημμεναι. Εὐτύχει.
