βασιλεῖ Πτολεμαίωι χαίρειν τῶν ἐκ Κροκοδίλων πόλεως. ἀδικοῦμαι ὑπὸ Ἑρμογένους τῶν ἐκ τῆς αὐτῆς πόλεως ὅπως ἀπομετρήσῃ ὑπὲρ ἐμοῦ εἰς τὸ βασιλικὸν πυροῦ ἀρτάβας κ ων νυνὶνυνεὶ δὲ οὐ μεμέτρηκεν τὰς κ ἀρτάβας τοῦ πυροῦ ς ἐμοῦ ὑπὸ οὐκ ἀπεμέτρησεν τὸν σῖτον ὑπὲρ ἐμοῦ δέομαι οὖν σου, βασιλεῦ, εἴ σοι δοκεῖ, προστάξαι Διοφάνει τῶι στρατηγῶι νομωι, ἐὰν φαίνηται τὰ διὰ τῆς ἐντεύξεως ὄντα ἀληθῆ, ἐπαναγκάσαι αὐτὸν τούτου γὰρ γενομένου, διὰ σέ, βασιλεῦ, τὸν πάντων κοινὸν σωτῆρα, εὐτύχει.
