ἀντίγραφον ἐπιστολῆς. Πολυδεύκης Θέωνι τῶι τιμιωτάτωι χαίρειν. ἐπικαλοῦμαι θεοὺς πάντας· μωυν ἀπολίπῃς καὶ τὸν ἀδελφόν σου Χρατίωνα. καὶ γὰρ ἀφʼ ἧς ὥρας ἀπέστης ἐν δυστρα πέλωι πράγματί εἰμι τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ μου ς ὡς ἔοικεν - διοιδῶ τὴν ην ντος εὐβούλου. ὡς δʼ ἐπεθεώρη σεν εὐθὺς καὶ κατενόησε τὸ ὑποποι εῖσθαι ἀποναρκήσαντος οὕτως ὥστε ἐφάνη νοσεῖν. καὶ μέχρι τούτου οὐκ ἐ νέβαλόν σοι οἰόμενος ὅτι ἢ προτρέ ψασθαι αὐτὸν ἢ ἀναγκάσαι δυνήσομαι. ἀλλʼ οὐ μέντοι πρὸς οὐδὲν ὑπείκει. ἀποσταφείς οὐδέ σοι λυσιτελές μενος ὑπʼ ἀνθρώπου τοῦτοντουτο τὸν τρόπον διακειμένου παραμεληθῆναι. ἑτέρων σοι διαφερόντων νῦν καὶ τόν δε δέξαι. συμβουλεύω ἑτέρως ἵνα ἡμᾶς σκέψασθαι ας. καὶ τε θαρρημένως σαυτὸν ἐπίδος ἐπὶ τῇ τῶν σῶν φροντίδι.
