Ἡρώδης Ἀπολλωνίωι τῶι κυρίωι χαίρειν. ἔλαβόν σου ἐπιστολὴν ὑπομνήσεως τῶν ἐνκεχει ρισμένων μοι καὶ ἐπιτελουμένων ἔργων, διʼ ἧς τὰ πρέποντά σου τῇ ἀξίᾳ καὶ τῷ ἤθει ἁρμόζοντα δηλοῖς, οἷς ὀφείλω ἐπιτεταγμένος ἐπαγρυπνεῖν. ὅτι δὲ ἀδιαλείπτωςἀδιαλί πτως τοῦτο ποιῶ ων τὰ διαφέροντά σοι ἢ αὐτὰ τὰ ἔργα ἐλθόντι σοὶ μαρτυρήσει. ἤδη κατὰ τὰς ἐντολάς σου Ἡράκλειος ὁ ἐπίτροπος χωρὶς τῶν ξενικῶν ξύλων τὸν ἀπαρ τισμὸν τῶν ἐπὶ τόπων ξύλων πρὸ ὀφθαλμῶν ἔχει. ὁ μὲν πρῶτος κοιτὼν ἤδη προν ἐστιν, ὁ δὲ Βουβαστια κὸς ὡσεὶ ελλση πρεπ οὐκ ἐπῳκοδομήσα μεν ταῖς κέλλαις, ἐπειδὴ εἰσὶ πρὸς Ἀπολλώνιον τὸν ὑπηρέτην χάριν διαφωτίσεως, ἐὰν εὐκαιρήσῃ Ἡράκλειος καὶ ἀρετήσηται αὐτοῦ τὰ αυαρτα ξύλα ἐν τῶι ἑτέ ρωι κοιτῶνι ἐπὶ τοῦ πύργου κατʼ ἐντολὴν τῆς κυρίας ὑπέ κλεισα, ἵνα μηδεὶς δια τὸν πύργον, εἰ μή τι χρεία γένηται τῶν ἁδρῶν ξύλων τῶν πρὸς τῶι ἔργωι κειμένων πρὸς μόνην τὴν μεταφοράν· τὸ γὰρ ἀλλότριον ἐποίησα ξυλ
