Διόδωρος Ἡρακλείδηι χαίρειν μεταπεμψάμενος ἡμᾶς Ἀρτεμίδωρος τῆι ιε ὥρᾳ σήμερον ἐκέλευσεν δείγματ' αὐτῶι τοῦ σίτου κατὰ θησαυρὸν παρακομίσαι καὶ τὴν γραφὴν τοῦ εἰσδεδεγμένου σίτου ἐν ισκεν τοῦ ευλα εὔ τρψει δείγματα τοῦ αὐτοῦ πλήθους αὐτὴν πρᾶσιν μὴ ἔχειν προφερόμενος τὴν πλείστην εἰσδοχὴν γεγενῆσθαι διʼ αὐτῶν περὶ τὸν μὴ τάδε παρʼ αὐτῶν γράμματά σοι ἀπεστάλθαι ὁμοίως δὲ καὶ σοὶ τῶν κατὰ τὰ λαμβανετ ἐγένετο προήνεγκας μηνὸς μὴ δὲ τὸ τὸν βασιλικὸν παραμεμετρηκέναι δια γενημάτων περὶ ἑξανων αὐτῶν τοὺς ἱερεῖς νῦν δὲ πρὸς τῆι εἰσδοχῆι πᾶν ποίησον ισTranslations (1)
Diodorus sends greetings to Heracleides. Artemidorus summoned us at the 15th hour today and ordered samples of the wheat to be delivered to him according to the treasury and the inventory of wheat received. In the inner chamber of the storage, samples of the same quantity are to be taken as he brings forth the greater part of the intake, which has been accomplished through their means — concerning the fact that these letters were not sent to you by them. Likewise, it also happened to you in regards to those at the reception. The monthly dues were brought forth without the royal measure having been exceeded concerning the produce about their own matters, the priests. Now, concerning the intake, do everything according to order.
