Δημητρίωιριωι τῶι παρὰ Ἀθηνοδώρου τοῦ διοικητοῦ παρὰ τῶν ναυκλήρων τῶν ἀπὸ τοῦ ὅρμου τῶν μετα φερόντων τὸν βασιλικὸν σῖτον ἐνταῦθα εἰς τὰ μετρήματα. ἐπειδὴ οἱ τελῶναι πράσ σουσιν ἡμᾶς τὴν τετάρτην τῶν ναύλων οὐ καθηκόντως οὐδέποτε η κότων καὶ το διασείοντες ἀξι οῦμέν σε, ἐάν σοι φαίνηται, ἀνακαλεσάμενον αὐτοὺς ἐπισκέψασθαι, κἂν φαί νωνται ἀγνωμόνως ἡμᾶς παραλογεύοντες, μὴ ἐπιτρέπειν αὐτοῖς συκοφαντεῖν ἡημᾶς. εὐτύχει. ους εσει καοηςκαιης ἔτους ιδ Χοιὰχ ιδ παρὰ τῶν ἀπὸ τοῦ ὅρμουὅρμου ναυκλήρων κατὰ τῶν τελωνῶν εσοTranslations (1)
To Demetrios, who is with Athenodoros the administrator, from the shipmasters from the harbor, those conveying the royal grain here into measurements. Since the tax collectors are demanding from us the fourth part of the fares unjustly, never having [done so] before, and also harassing us, we ask you, if it seems good to you, to call them back to inspect, and if they appear to be unreasonable, taking advantage of us, do not permit them to falsely accuse us. Farewell. On this day, the 14th of Choiak, from the shipmasters at the harbor against the tax collectors [...]
