ἔγραψε με εἰς Φ ραι. ἄνεξαιἄνεξε οὖν ἄχρι οὗ ἔλθωἔρθω. πρίνπρὴν οὖν γράψητέγράψηταί μοι, ἔγραψέ μοι Ἀντωνῖνος ἀπὸ Ἡλίου πόλεωςἩλιοῦς ὅτι “ἐγενάμην εἰς Φιλαδέλφιαν καὶ πρὸς αὐτοὺςἀτοὺς ποιεῖτεπυεῖτε μο σὺ καὶ οἱ ἐμοί.” Ἔγρα ψάς μοι ὅτι “ὅσον ἂν ποιῇ ς, οὐδὲνοὐδὶν ἀνέχομαι ἕωςὡς ἔλθῃςἔρθῃςἔρθω.” ἄνεξαι οὖν καί, ἂν ἔλθωἔρθω, βλέ πω τίνοςτίνες ἐστὶν τὸ ἁμάρ τημα. εἴἤ τινοςτινες οὖν χρείανχρίαν ἔχειςἔχῃςἔχις, δότωδέτω σοι ὁ ἀδελφόςἀδελφόν μου ἈϊῶνἈγιῶν. πῶς ὅμως σοι ἀηδίαν μετὰ αὐτῶν μι γις . ἂν θεὸς θελήσῃ κατε λάβαμεν ὑμᾶς ταχ καὶ Ἑρμίας ἐγένετο εἰς Κό πτον· ἐνωθράνθηἐνωθράντη δὲ ἐλθώνἐρθὼν καὶ πέπαυται κέτι ἐλθέτω ἦλθε τῷἐρθετω μ ἀπὸ τῆς μητρο ἀηδίαν ἐποιησα ὡς οἶδας, οὐκ ἐγὼ τ ὁποῖα δεῖ. ἀσπάζομαι πολλὰ τὴν θυγατέρα μου καὶ τὴν μητέρα σου Ἡλιοδώραν καὶ Νόννον καὶ καὶ vestig εἰς ΦιλαδέλφιανTranslations (1)
He wrote to me at Ph [---]. Endure, therefore, until I come. Before you write, Antoninos wrote to me from Heliopolis saying, “I have come to Philadelphia and to them, deal with them you and mine.” You wrote to me that “whatever you do, I will not endure until you come.” Therefore endure and, if I come, I will see whose fault it is. If, therefore, you are in need of anything, let my brother Aion give it to you. How do you nevertheless find annoyance with them? If God wills, we reached you soon and Hermias went to Coptos. Having arrived, he rejoiced and has ceased, let him come from the mother annoyance I made as you know, not I, what is necessary. I send many greetings to my daughter and your mother Heliodora and Nonnos and [—] to Philadelphia.
