To Gaius Valerius Uetranos of Antinoe from Ptolemaios: I wish to lease from you for three years the produce of [...] from the present 14th year of Antoninus Caesar the lord, which you hold around Karanis, one aroura of tenant land in the place called the New Canal, with an annual rent of six artabas of wheat measured by the six-choinix measure of the interpreter of the village, upon which I shall receive from the seeds an annual wheat artaba [one] and additionally the annual [fags?] on a share of one third , and of public taxes owed by me to Ptolemaios and d[...], I shall guarantee [...] a jar of capers for me from all public [obligations] and all kinds, and I shall perform all the agricultural works necessary, if it appears that Gaius Valerius Uetranos leased upon the aforesaid terms, as is specified.
