ἔτους τρίτου Αὐτοκράτορος Τίτου Καίσαρος Οὐεσπασιανοῦ Σεβαστοῦ μηνὸς Δαισίου τετράδι, Φαρμοῦθι δ ἐν τῇ Σοκνοπαίου ΝήσῳΝήσου τῆς Ἡρακλείδου μερίδος τοῦ Ἀρσινοΐτου νομοῦ. ὁμολογεῖ Στοτοῆτις Τεσενούφιος τοῦ Τεσενούφιος Πέρσης τῆς ἐπιγονῆς ὡς ἐτῶν τεσσαράκοντα ἑνὸς οὐλὴ μετώπῳ ἐκ δεξιῶν τρον Πανεφρίμμεως μέρους καὶ ἅπαντι δεξιῷ ἔχειν παρʼ αὐτῆς τὸν ὁμολογοῦντα παραχρῆμα διὰ χειρὸς ἐξ οἴκου ἐφʼ ἑαυτῇ φερνὴν ἀργυρίου κεφαλαίου δραχμὰς εἴκοσι · συνβιούτωσαν οὖν ἀλλήλοις ὅ τε ὁ Στοτοήτιος καὶ ἡ Τανεφρίμμις καθὼς καὶ προεγαμοῦσαν ἀμεμψιμοιρήτως, καθότι καὶ πρότερον τοῦ ὁμολογοῦντος ἐπιχορηγοῦντος αὐτῇ τὰ δέοντα πάντα καὶ τὸν ἱματισμὸν καὶ τὰ ἄλλα, ὅσα καθήκει γυναικὶ γαμετῇ κατὰ δύναμιν τοῦ βίου· ἐὰν δὲ διαφορᾶς γενομένης χωρίζωνται ἀπʼ ἀλλήλων ἀποδοῦναι Στοτοῆτιν τῇ Τανεφρίμμι τὴν φερνὴν ἀργυρίου δραχμὰς εἴκοσι ἐν ἡμέραις ἑξήκοντα , ἀφʼ ἧς ἐὰν ἀπαιτήσῃἀπαιτήσει· ἐὰν δὲ μὴ ἀποδῷ καθὰ γέγραπται ἀποτισάτω μεθʼ ἡμιολίας ὁ ὁμολογῶν, τῆς πράξεως οὔσης τῇ Τανεφρίμμι ἔκ τε τοῦ Στοτοήτιος καὶ ἐκ τῶν ὑπαρχόντων αὐτῷ πάν των καθάπερ ἐκ δίκης, μενούσης δὲ ἐπὶ χώρας τῆς συνγραφῆς ταύτης διὰ τὸ ἀπερίλυτον εἶναι αὐτήν. παροῦσαπαροντων δὲ καὶ ἐπὶ τῆς ἀρχῆς ἡ τῆς τοῦ ὁμολογοῦντος Στοτοήτιος μη τρὸς Σαταβοῦτος τῆς Ὥρου τοῦ Ἁρυώτου ὡς ἐτῶν ἑξήκοντα φακὸς χείλειχίλει τῷ ἄνω ἐξ ἀριστερῶν μετὰ κυρίου τοῦ τῆς ἀδελφῆςθδελφης αὐτῆς Τανεφρίμμιος υἱοῦ Στοτοήτιος τοῦ Ἐρι έως ὡς ἐτῶν τεσσαράκοντα τριῶν οὐλὴ ὀφρύιὀφρύει δεξιᾷ συνχωρεῖ μετὰ τὴν ἑαυτῆς τελευτὴν τοῖς ἑαυτῆς τέκνοις Στοτοήτι καὶ Ὥρωι καὶ θυγατράσι Σουήρι καὶ Ἐριέᾳ καὶ τοῖς τοῦ τετελευτηκότος αὐτῆς ἑτέρου υἱοῦ Τεσενούφιος υἱοῖς Στοτοήτι καὶ Ὥρωι, τῷ μὲν υἱῷ Στοτοήτι συνχωρῶ τὴν πεπτωκυῖανπειπτοκοτα μοι μετὰ τὴν τοῦ ἀνδρός μου Τεσενούφιος τελευτὴν οἰκίαν καὶ αὐλὴν ἐκ τοῦ πρὸς νότον μέρουςμέρος, τῷ δʼ αὐτῷ Στοτοήτι συνχωρεῖσυνχορεῖ τέταρτον μέρος ἑτέρας οἰκίας καὶ αὐλῆς ἐκ τοῦ πρὸς βορρᾶ μέρους πρότερον Ψενταπιάμιος, τῷ δʼ αὐτῷ Στοτοήτι συνχωρεῖ πέμπτον δέκατον μέρος ἑτέρας οἰκίας καὶ αὐλῆς πρότερον Πατουλῶτος, καὶ Ὥρωι καὶ Ἐριέᾳ συνχωρεῖ κοινῶς ἐξ ἴσου μέρος ἑτέρας οἰκίας καὶ αὐλῆς ἐκ τοῦ πρὸς νότου μέρους καὶ τὰ συνκυροῦντασυνκυρο͂ντα πάντα καὶ τῇ Σουήρι συνχωρεῖ ἥμισυἥμισοι μέρος ἐκ τῆς συνκεχωρισμένης τῷ Στοτοήτι τέταρτον μέρος πρότερον Ψενταπιάμιος οἰκίας καὶ αὐλῆς καὶ τοῖς τοῦ τετελευτηκότος αὐτῆς υἱοῦ Τεσενούφιος υἱοῖς Στοτοήτι καὶ Ὥρῳ τὸ λοιπὸν τέταρτον μέρος τῆς προκει μένης οἰκίας καὶ αὐλῆς πρότερον Ψενταπιάμιος καὶ τοῖς δυσὶ υἱοῖς Στοτοήτι καὶ Ὥρῳ συνχωρῶσυνχορῶ ἑκάστῳ μέρους τοῦ ὑπάρχοντος αὐτῇ ἐντὸς περιβόλου ἱεροῦ Σοκνοπαίου θεοῦ μεγάλου τόπου ψιλοῦ ἑτέρου τόπου μῦλος Θηβαικὸς σὺν τραπέζῃ καὶ κόπῃ καὶ ὅλμοιςὅρμοις κοση καὶ ορ καὶ ἕνδεκα ερωνιε Στοτοήτιος τ Ὥρωι ἀργυρίου δραχμὰς οτου τῆς αὐτῆς ἀργυρίου δραχμὰς συνχωρεῖ καιδωουτο καὶ Ἐριέα ε μέρους όμενα α καθὼς πρόκειται αι συναTranslations (1)
In the third year of the reign of Emperor Titus Caesar Vespasianus Augustus, on the fourth of the month of Daisios, Pharmouthi 4, on the Soknopaios Island of the Heracleides division of the Arsinoite nome. Stotoëtis the son of Tesenouphis, a Persian of the Epigone, about forty-one years old, with a scar on the right side of his forehead, acknowledges that he has received from Tanefrimis, of her own accord and with her hand from her own house, a dowry of twenty silver drachmas. Therefore, Stotoëtis and Tanefrimis shall live together blamelessly as husband and wife, as they were before, with Stotoëtis providing her with all necessary things and clothing and everything else appropriate for a married woman according to his ability. In case of disagreement leading to separation, Stotoëtis is to return to Tanefrimis the dowry of twenty silver drachmas within sixty days from the demand made. If he does not return it as written, he shall repay one and a half times the amount, with the agreement being enforceable by Tanefrimis from Stotoëtis and from all his belongings as from a court decision, with the document remaining valid due to its irreversible nature. The mother of Stotoëtis, Satabous, daughter of Horus of Haryotis, about sixty years old, with a mole on the left side of her upper lip, is present as well, along with the lord of her sister's son, Stotoëtis the son of Erios, about forty-three years old, with a scar above the right eyebrow. She agrees, after her own death, to give her possessions to her children Stotoëtis and Horus, her daughters Soëris and Eriëa, and the children of her deceased son Tesenouphis, sons of Stotoëtis and Horus. To her son Stotoëtis, she grants the house and courtyard located on the southern part. To the same Stotoëtis, she grants a quarter of another house and courtyard on the northern part that formerly belonged to Psentaphiamis. To the same Stotoëtis, she grants a fifteenth of another house and courtyard formerly of Patoulos. To Horus and Eriëa, she grants a shared equal part of another house and courtyard on the southern side, and everything associated with it. To Soëris, she grants half of the separated quarter formerly belonging to Psentaphiamis' house and courtyard, and to the children of her deceased son Tesenouphis, sons of Stotoëtis and Horus, she grants the remaining quarter of the aforementioned house and courtyard formerly of Psentaphiamis.
