To the illustrious Flavius Stephanos, the most magnificent tribune and landholder, and to Neilos, the esteemed count and fellow townsman, brothers from the city of the Arsinoites. Aurelius Aanius, son of Isak, a farmer from the same city, from the district of Tamion, greetings. I declare that I have leased from your magnificence, from the property under your ownership, in the field of Kolymbos near the suburb of this city, in the place called Piaaksi, as many arouras of land as there may be, which I previously held, together with all their rights, for a period of four years beginning with the harvest of the sixth indiction year, and to provide the lease payments annually to your magnificence. The annual tax I shall pay, Aurelius Aanius who has leased, is six gold nomismata with the surcharge of forty-six and a half keratia, paid by me annually in two installments, in the month of Pauni three nomismata and in the month of Epeiph the other three nomismata, smoothly. The lease is valid and I have confirmed upon inquiry. Aurelius Aanius, son of Isak, farmer, have taken on lease the aforementioned arouras and shall provide the annual tax as laid out.
