τῶν γραμμάτων τοῦ ἐμοῦτῶν τὰ γράμματα τοῦ ἐμοῦ δεσπότου σήμερονσήμερων μεν ἡε ἀπέστειλαἀπέστιλα τοὺς ἀνθρώπους μετὰ γ νομισμάτων· ἰδοὺ οὖν τὰ αραἀρραβωνικά νομίσματα τὸ δὲ ἄλλοἄλο τεσσάρων τεσσάρων μένοις. καὶ εἰ μὴ, τρία οὐ θέλω. ἐγὼ παρέχω τὸ λοιπὸν ἓν νόμισμα. καὶ ἐὰν θέλῃ, τὸ ἄλλοἄλο τεσσάρων νομισμάτων λάβωλάβο. καὶ αὐτῶι δὲ οὐκ ὀχλῆσαιὀχλῖσαι ἐλπίζωἐλπίζο εὑρεῖνεὑρῖν τὴν χρείανχρίαν αὐτῆς εἰς ἄλλαςἄλας δύο ἡμέρας. ἀπεταξάμην γάρ. νομίζω ὅτι ἐγένετο ἡ χρείαχρία αὕτη, καὶ πρὸ ἐχθὲςἐκθὲς ἐπωλήθησανἐπολύθησαν δύο ἕκαστον δύο ἥμισυ νομίσματα εἰς ΨενῦρινΨεννῆριν. ἀπέστειλαἀπέστιλα δὲ μετὰ τοῦ γραμ ματηφόρου κοριάξους παστοὺς ἐννέαἐννήα καὶ νεαροὺς πέντεπέντη. πολλὰ δὲ ἀσπάζομαι τὰ τίμια ἴχνη τοῦ ἐμοῦ δεσπότου.Translations (1)

And I hope he will not have trouble finding your necessity (or: what you need) in the other (i.e., next) two days. For I gave up. I believe that such a need appeared. And the day before yesterday two were sold, each for two and a half nomismata, to Psennouris (or rather: in Psennouris?). With the messenger I sent koriaxoi, nine salted and five fresh. I greet very much the worthy footsteps of my lord.
