Διογένης Πυθαγόρᾳ τῷ ἀδελφῷ χαίρειν. ἴσθιιστι Θέωνα τὸν παράδοξον τὸν ἀναδιδόντα σοι ταῦτά μου τὰ γράμματα οἰκεῖόν μου ὄντα καὶ σχέσιν ἀδελφικὴν ἔχον τα πρός με. καλῶς οὖν ποι ήσεις, ἄδελφε, τοῦτον ὑπο δεξάμενος ὡς ἂν ἐμέ. ἀλλὰ καὶ τόπον ἐπιτήδειονἐπειτήδειον αὐτῷ ἀπὸ ποδὸς ἐξηρτισμένον παράσχες, ἀλλʼἀλʼ ἵνα ἐλθὼν μαρτυρήσῃμαρτυρήσει μοι τὰ τῆς προαιρέσεώς σου.
