κυρίῳ ἀδελφῷ Ἡρκουλανῷ Ἱέραξ εὖ πράττειν. τὰ μὲν γράμματά σου κομισάμενος, κύριέ μου ἀδελφέ, πανή γυριν ἤγαγον. ὡς δὲ καὶ τῷ κυρίῳ μου ἀδελφῷ Ἡλιοδώρῳ τῷ πραιποσίτῳ διὰ δημοσίας ἐπιστολῆς φανερὸν πεποί ηκα, χρηα διὰ τὴν θείαν τύχην τῶν δεσποτῶν ἡμῶν τῶν Σεβαστῶν καὶ τῶνκαὶ τῶν ἐπιφανεστάτων Καισάρων· κελεύσεως δὲ οὔσης τοῦ κυρίου μου τοῦ διασημοτάτου καθολικοῦ πέμπειν τοὺς πραιποσίτους πρός με τὰς πετιτίονας καὶ ὑπʼ ἐμοῦ πρὸς τὴν τάξιντάξειν τὴν καθολικήν, ἵνα αἱ δηλη γατίονες ὑπὸ τοῦ κυρίου μου τοῦ διασημοτάτου καθολικοῦ ἐκπεμφθατα στρατη προστάξαι ενε επιον μίαν τοῦ δωνατίου γενεθλίου τοῦ δεσπότου ἡμῶν Μαξιμιανοῦ τοῦ Καίσαρος, ἄλλην δὲ στιπενδίου καλανδῶν Σεπτεμβρίων, καὶ τὴν τρίτηντρείτην σαλγάμου. αἱ μὲν πετιτίονες ἐπὶ τὸν κύριόν μου τὸν διασημότατον καθολικὸν ἀνηνέχθησαν. ἐπειδὰνἐπιδὰν δὲ αἱ δηληγατίονεςληγατίονες ἀπαντῶσιν, εὐθέως ὑπʼ ἐμοῦ διὰ ταχυδρόμου ἐπισταλήσονται. θεοί σε σῴζοιεν μετὰ τῶν φιλτάτων διὰ παντός. ἀδελφῷ Ἡρκουλανῷ.
