κυρίῳ μου ἀληθῶς τιμιωτάτῳ ἀδελφῷ Κανώπῳ, Θεόδωρος. πάνυ ἐλυπήθημεν ἀκούσαντές τι παθεῖν Μακαρίαν τὴν σὴν ἐλευθέραν, καὶ οὐκ ἀλόγως τοσοῦτον ὁ υἱός σου Γρατιανὸς ἐπόθησεν αὐτήν, καὶ ἔτι δὲ οἱ ἄλλοι αὐτῆς υἱοί. πλὴν τί δυνάμεθα ποιῆσαι πρὸς τὸ ἀνθρώπινον; καταξίωσον οὖν σαυτὸν παραμυθήσασθαι καὶ σκυλμὸν ὑπομεῖναι καὶ ἐλθεῖν πρὸς μὲ μετὰ τοῦ κυρίου μου Οὐαλεντίνου ἐν τῇ Νήσων. χρείαν γὰρ ἔχω τῆς εὐγενείαςεὐγενίας σου καὶ πάλιν ποιῶ σεσαι διὰ σκάφους προπεμφθῆναιπροπεμθῆναι. μὴ οὖν ὀκνήσῃς, ὅτι ἀνάβασίς ἐστιν. ἐρχόμενος δὲ καταξίωσον ἐνέγκαιἐνέγκε . ὅσα ς ἔχεις γνάψιμα. εἰσὶν δέ· στιχάριον Ναθαναῆλ, ῥάχνη λευκή, στιχάριον Συγκλητικῆς, μαφόριον τῆς Κύρας, στιχάριον Κύρας. προσαγορεύω Δίδυμον καὶ Φιλόξενον καὶ πάντας τοὺς σούς. ἐρρῶσθαί σε εὔχομαι χρόνοις πολλοῖς, κύριε τιμιώτατε ἄδελφε. περὶ τοῦ σίτου μὴ ἀμφίβαλλε. ἐγὼ οὐκ ἔπεμψα αὐτὸν ἵνα σοὶ ἐλθόντι παρα μετρηθῇ. κυρίῳ μου ἀληθῶς τιμιωτάτῳ ἀδελφῷ Κανώπῳ Θεόδωρος.
