ΓάιοςΦλαούιος Οὐαλέριος Πομπηιανὸς ὁ διασημότατος ἔπαρχος Αἰγύπτου λέγει· οἷς ἐὰν μὴ πεποιημένοι ὦσιν κηδεμόνες ὀρφανοῖς οἱ τοῦ χειροτονεῖν κύριοι καθεστῶτες ἐν ποιείσθωσαν τοὺς καθʼ ἡλικίαν κηδεμόνας· οὕτω γὰρ συμβήσεται τῆς προσ ηκούσης ἐπιμελείας τυγχάνειν, ὡς νῦν γε πολλὰ τῶν ὀρφανικῶν πραγμάτων τῶν ἐπὶ τοῖς κηδεμόσιν ὄντων ἀναβολῆς τυγχάνειν διὰ τὸ μὴ παρεῖναι τοῖς ὀρφανοῖς ἐπιτρόπους ἤτοι κουράτορας. ἔτους δ καὶ γ ἔτους τῶν κυρίων ἡμῶν Διοκλητιανοῦ καὶ Μαξιμιανοῦ Σεβαστῶν Φαῶφι προετέθη ἐν Ὀξυρύγχων τῷ αὐτῷ μηνὶ Φαῶφι κζ. ἐνάρχῳ ἐξηγητῇ Ὀξυρυγχίτου καὶ Μικρᾶς Ὀάσεως βουλευτῇ τῆς λαμπρᾶς καὶ λαμπροτάτης Ὀξυρύγ χιτῶνὈξυρύγχων πόλεως παρὰ καὶ Ἀπολλωνίας ἀμφοτέρων Ὠριγένους μητρὸς Θαήσιος ἀπὸ τῆς λαμπρᾶς καὶ λαμπροτάτης ὈξυρυγχιτῶνὈξυρύγχων πόλεως. τυχόντες τῆς κηδεμονίας τῶν ἀφηλίκων ἀδελφιδῶν ἡμῶν, τέκνων τῆς μετηλλαχυ ίας Ὠριγένους ἀπὸ τῆς αὐτῆς πόλεως
