Description
A receipt issued by the tesserarius, the komarchs, and a demosios of Buto in the Memphite nome to Aurelius Isidorus as a tesserarius of Karanis. Certain individuals had absconded from Buto and taken refuge in Karanis. They were discovered by the commission from Buto and were formally surrendered by Isidorus as representative of Karanis. In return he was given this quittance against any additional claim upon him or his village.
