Ἀθηνοδώρωι τῶι ἐμπολαίωι πλεῖστα χαίρειν καὶ διὰ παντὸς ἐρρωμένωι ἄριστα ἐπανάγειν ὡς εὔχομαι· γίγνωσκε ὅτι τὰ πλοῖα ἅπαντα ἐγγεγάρευταιἐνγεγάρευται ὑπὸ τῆς λεγεῶνος καὶ οὐχ εὑρίσκωι πως νῦν τὸν πυρὸν μεταγάγωι εἰς Κόμα· εἰ οὖν ἐθέλεις πέμψον μοι πλοῖον ἕτερον ὅπως πορεύωμαι εἰς τὴν Κόμα· ἐὰν γὰρ μὴ μεταχθῆι ὁ πυρὸς ἄπρατος ἔσται· ἕκαστος γὰρ ου γεωργὸς ἀπὸ Νέας Ἀγορᾶς· οἱ γὰρ ἑλόντες τὴν νέαν ἤδη οἱ πλείονες πεδται τὴν τιμὴν τῆι λεγεῶνι· Ἀντίοχός φασιν ἐμὲ δεῖν λαβεῖν εἰς ἃ ἐποίησαν ὑπερ τὸ ἀνήλωμα· πρὸ τῶν ὅλων σεαυτοῦ ἐπιμέλου ἵνʼ ὑγιαίνῃς ὃ δὴ μέγιστον ἡγοῦμαι· ἔρρωσο· ἔτους κϛ Καίσαρος Ἐπεὶφ β
