ὁμολογῶ ἐγὼ ὁ αὐτὸς Μη ἑκουσίᾳ γνώμῃ συντεθεῖσθαί με πρὸς τὴν σὴν λαμπρότητα ἐπὶ ἐνιαυτὸν ἕνα λογιζόμενον ἀπὸ δωδεκάτης ἡμέρας τοῦ μηνὸς τῆς παρούσης τεσσαρεσκαιδεκάτηςτεσσαρασ καιδεκάτης ἰνδικτίωνος ἐφ’ ᾧτέ με τὴν χρείαν τοῦ γε οναρίου παρ’ αὐτῇ ἀπο πληρῶσαι καὶ πάντα τὰ ἐπιταττόμενά μοι ὑπ’ αὐτῆς ἐκτελέσαι ἀμέμπτως καὶ ἀόκνως καὶ ἀκαταγνώστως, δεχόμενος παρὰ τῆς σῆς λαμπρότητος λόγῳ μισθοῦ ἤτοι ὀψωνίου τοῦ αὐτοῦ ἑνὸς ἐνιαυτοῦ χρυσοῦ νομίσματα δύο γράφεσθαιTranslations (1)
I, the same Me, acknowledge that I am engaged in agreement with your excellency voluntarily for one year, reckoning from the twelfth day of the current [...] indiction. According to which, I must fulfill my obligation of the provision of [the necessary item] with her and carry out all orders assigned to me by her blamelessly, diligently, and without reproach, receiving from your excellency, in return for my service or wages for the same one year, two gold coins to be recorded.
