ἀντίγραφον συνγραφοδιαθήκης. ἔτους δευτέρου Αὐτοκράτορος Καίσαρος Νέρουα Τραϊανοῦ Σεβαστοῦ Γερμανικοῦ μηνὸς Περιτίου κη Χοιὰκ κη ἐν Πτολεμαίδι Εὐεργέτιδι τοῦ Ἀρσινοίτου νομοῦ. ἐπὶ Ἰουλίας Σεβαστῆς. ὁμολογεῖ Σαταβοῦτος ΤεσιήουςΣαταβοὺς Στεσιῆος Πέρσης τῆς ἐπιγονῆς ὡς ἐτῶν μ εὐμεγέθης οὐλὴ δακτύλωι χειρὸς ἀριστερᾶς τῇ προούσῃ καὶ συνούσῃ αὑτῶι γυναικὶ Τααρπαγάθῃ Τεσενούφεως ὡς ἐτῶν κε οὐλὴ ι δεξιῶι μετὰ κυρίου τοῦ ὁμοπατρίου καὶ ὁμομητρίου ἀδελφοῦ Στοτοήτιος ὡςετων ἐτῶν λγ οὐλὴ ἀντικνημίῳ δεξιῷ ἔχειν παρʼ αὐτῆς ἐφʼ ἑαυτῇ φερνὴν διὰ χειρὸς ἀργυρίου δραχμὰς ἑκατόν . μένειν οὖν αὐτοῖς τὴν συμβίωσιν ἀμέμπτως, καθότι καὶ πρότερον· ἐὰν δὲ διαφορᾶς αὐτοῖς γενομένης χωρίζωνται ἀπʼ ἀλλήλων, ἀποδότω ὁ Σαταβοῦς Τααρπαγάθῃ τὰς τῆς φερνῆς ἀργυρίου δραχμὰς ἑκατόν , ἐπὶ μὲν τῆς ἀποπομπῆς παραχρῆμα, ἐπὶ δὲ τῆς ἑκουσί ας ἀπαλλαγῆς ἐν ἡμέραις τριάκοντα , ἀφʼ ἧς ἐὰν ἀπαιτηθῇ· ἐὰν δὲ μὴ ἀποδῷ, καθὰ γέγραπται, τὴν πρᾶξιν τῇ εἶναι Τααρπαγάθῃ ἔκ τε τοῦ Σαταβοῦτος καὶ ἐκ τῶν ὑπαρχόντων αὐτῷ πάντων καθάπερ ἐκἐγ δίκης. παροῦσα ἐπὶ τῆς ἀρχῆς ἡ τοῦ Σαταβοῦτος μήτηρ Σεγᾶθις Ἐριέως ὡς ἐτῶν ξϛ οὐλὴ ἀντικνημίῳ ἀριστερῶι ὡς δα δεξιῶι μετὰ κυρίου τοῦ τετελευτηκότος ἀδελφοῦ αὐτῆς Τεσενούφιος υἱοῦ Τεσενούφιος ὡς ἐτῶν μ οὐλὴ μετώπῳ ἐκἐγ δεξιῶν συνχωρεῖ εἶναι μετὰ τὴν ἑαυτῆς τελευτὴν τοῦ τε προγεγραμμένου αὐτῆς υἱοῦ Σαταβοῦτος ἑκατὸν ὄντων τοῦ Σαταβοῦτος καὶ ὁμοπατρι ν Τααρπαγάθου καὶ Ταβοῦτος υτηκο τῆς με υἱοῦ τῶν ὁμοπατρίου ἀδελφTranslations (1)
Copy of a writing of a will. In the second year of the Emperor Caesar Nerva Trajan Augustus Germanicus, in the month of Peritios on the 28th, and in Choiak on the 28th, in Ptolemais Euergetis in the Arsinoite nome. During the reign of Julia Augusta. Satabous son of Tesiheos of Persian descent, aged about 40, tall, with a scar on the left hand finger, together with his wife Taapartgathis daughter of Tesenupheos, aged about 25, with a scar on the right side, along with their shared brother Stotoetios, aged 33, scar on the right shin, acknowledges receiving from her dowry by her hand one hundred silver drachmas. Therefore, they shall continue their life together without blame, as before; if disagreement arises, and they separate from each other, Satabous shall return to Taapartgathis the dowry of one hundred silver drachmas, immediately in case of divorce, or within thirty days if separated by mutual consent, from when it is demanded. If he does not return, as written, Taapartgathis shall have the right to take action against Satabous and all his possessions as if through legal settlement.
