Φλαούιος Ἡρκουλανὸς Ἀπλωναρίῳ τῇ γλυκυτάτῃ καὶ τιμιωτάτῃτειμιωτάτῃ πλεῖστα χαίρειν. ἐχάρην μεγάλως κομισάμε νός σου ἐπιστολήν, δόντος μοι αὐτὴν τοῦ μαχαιρᾶ. ἣν δὲ γράφεις διὰ Πλάτωνος τοῦ τοῦ ὀρχηστοῦρχηστου πεπομ φέναι μοι οὐκ ἐκομισάμην. ἀλλὰ λίανλείαν ἐλυπήθην ὅτι οὐ παρεγένου εἰςἰς τὰ γενέσια τοῦ παιδίου μου καὶ σὺ καὶ ὁ ἀ νήρ σου, εἶχες γὰρ ἐπὶ πολλὰς ἡμέρας εὐφρανθῆναιευφρανθης σὺν αὐτῷ. ἀλλὰ πάντως κρείττο να εἶχες. διὰ τοῦτο ὑπερη φάνηκας ἡμᾶς. ἐγὼ θέ λε σε πάντοτε καλῶς ἔχειν ὡς ἐμαυτόν, ἀλλὰ καὶ λυποῦμαι πάλιν ὅτι ἐκτός μου εἶ. ἐὰν δὲ ἐκ τός μου οὐκ ἀκάλως ἔχῃς, χαίρω ὅτι καλῶς ἔχεις μέν, καὶ ἐγὼκἀγὼ δὲ πάλινπάλι καταξύομαι μὴ ὁρῶν σε. τὸ σύνφορόν σου ποίει. ὅταν γὰρ θέλῃς ἡμᾶς πάντοτε ἰδεῖν, ἥδισ τά σε παραδεξόμεθα. καλῶς οὖν ποιήσεις ἐλ θοῦσα τῷ Μεσορὴ πρὸς ἡμᾶς ἵνα ὅλως ἴδωμέν σε. ἄσπασαι τὴν μητέρα σου καὶ τὸν πατέρα σου καὶ Καλ λίαν. ἀσπάζεταί σε ὁ υἱός μου καὶ ἡ μήτηρ αὐτοῦ καὶ Διονύσιος ὁ συναγωνισ τής μου, ὃς ὑπηρετεῖ με ἐν τῷ ταβουλαρίῳταβλαρίῳσταβλαρίῳ. ἄσπασαι τοὺς φιλοῦντάς σε πάντας. ἐρρῶσθαί σε εὔχομαι. ἀπόδος Ἀπλωναρίῳ παρὰ Ἡρκουλανοῦ παρὰ Φλαουίου Ἡρκουλανοῦ πάτρωνος.
