Panouphis, son of Tesenouphis, to Taouetis, daughter of Satabous, mother Segathis, from the village of Soknopaiou Nesos, greetings. I acknowledge that I have sold to you two female camels, both of them branded on the right haunch, and I have received the price agreed upon of a thousand three hundred and forty silver drachmas , = 1340 drachmas, on the spot, just as they are, unreturnable . Year 13 of Imperator Caesar Titus Aelius Hadrianus Antoninus Augustus Pius, M[es]ore 4.
Panûphis, Sohn des Tesenûphis, grüßt Taûêtis, Tochter des Satabûs und der Mutter Segathis, aus (?) dem Dorf Soknopaiû Nêsos. Ich bestätige, daß ich Dir verkauft habe Kamele – zwei, weiblich –, die zwei markiert am rechten Schenkel, und ich habe erhalten den vereinbarten Kaufpreis in Höhe von tausenddreihundertundvierzig Silberdrachmen , das sind 1340 Drachmen, (und ich habe die Kamele verkauft als) so, wie sie (jetzt) beschaffen sind, nicht zurückzugeben .
