βασιλεῖ Πτολεµαίωι χαίρειν Ἀρτέµων. ἀδικοῦµαι ὑπὸ Ἡρώιδου ι ἐπὶ Μενάνδρου περὶ τοῦ ἱµατίου οὗ εἶχεν εα αὐτοῦ δὲ αἱρετίσαντος Πελέαν τὸν γναφέα οµοσεν δέοµαι οὖν σου, βασιλεῦ, εἴ σοι δοκεῖ, προστάξαι σ τῆς τιµῆς τοῦ ἱµατίου ἵνα κοµίσωµαι µάλιστα µὲν τὸ ἱµάτιον ἐπέκρινεν Μένανδρος δραχµὰς δεκαδύο ὑπο α ον ἀπὸ Μεχιρ τοῦ ἐν τῶι λ ἔτει ἕως Παχων ἵνα διὰ σὲ τοῦ δικαίου τύχω. εὐτύχει ἔτους λ Αὐδναίου β Ἀρτέµων πρὸς ἩρώιδηνTranslations (1)
To King Ptolemy greetings from Artemon. I am being wronged by Herodes, the son of Menander, regarding the cloak which he had taken concerning Peleus the fuller who left it behind. Therefore, I request, O King, if it seems good to you, to order the valuation of the cloak that I may receive the cloak itself, and Menander assessed it at twelve drachmas. From Mechir of the [...] year to Pachon, so that through you, I may obtain justice. Farewell in the year of Audnaeus, 2nd of Artemon against Herodes.
