τοῖς ἐν τῶι Ἡρακλεοπολίτηι καὶ Ἀφροδιτοπολίτηι τοπογραμματεῦσι καὶ τοῖς ἐπιλελε γμένοις καὶ τοῖς βασιλικοῖς γραμματεῦσι καὶ τοῖς κωμογραμματεῦσι χαίρειν. τῆς παρ’ Ἀρτέμωνος ἐντολῆς τὸ ἀντίγραφοντἀντίγραφον ὑπόκειται αν δὲ τοὺς αὐτοὺς Ἀσκληπιάδηι τῶι oἰκονόμωι πρὸς τῆι ἐπισκέψειν τῆς ὀθονιηρᾶς αι μέχριμεχρει παραγινόμεθα περὶ ἑκάστων ε τὴν ἐνδεχομένην προθυμίαν παρα τοῖς ἄλλοις τοῖς κατὰ τὴν πρᾶξιν οὕτως ἔρρωσο ἔτους κα Ἐπεὶφ γραμματεῦσι καὶ τοῖς κωμογραμματεῦσι ἐπιλελεγμένοις πρὸς τὴν συναγωγὴν ιν ἀπεστάλκαμεν παρ ἀλλὰ ἐπιμελησομένουἐπιμελεσομένου μου εἰς τὸ δέον ἀποκατασταθηTranslations (1)
To the toparchs (local officials) in Heracleopolite and Aphroditopolite, to the chosen ones and royal scribes and village scribes, greetings. The copy of the order from Artemon is at hand. As for Asclepiades, the overseer, concerning the inspection of the linen until we arrive about each matter, with the required diligence from the others in practice, thus farewell. In the year of 21 Epeiph, to the scribes and village scribes selected for the gathering, we have sent [those to be] dispatched, but with me being concerned to what is needed to be restored.
