The Worthy one at Apis-Osiris, the Father of the God, the Wenra-Priest of Horus of Letopolis, the Priest, the Guardian of the Child Chons in the Temple of Ptah in Chat-nefer, the Priest of all Gods in Chat-nefer, the Priest of Anubis, Lord of Ipetef, Mery-Ptah, son of the Father of the God and Wenra-Priest Pa-chered-Ptah, whom the Lady Mer-nubet-es bore, he says: I am a servant who fulfills the justice of his God. There is no other who is more exalted than I. Because I seek all the spells for the embalming place, I keep the night awake. For the well-being of this exalted God, I have overseen every construction work in the "Gold-House" of the "Perfect Place." I have not ceased, by night and by day, to make arrangements in the embalming places, so that this great God may go to the Beautiful West. Everyone praises and glorifies this one, his city god. Es gibt keinen anderen, der erhabener als ich ist. Weil (wörtl.: indem) ich nach allen Zaubersprüchen für die Balsamierungsstätte suche, bringe ich die Nacht wach zu. Zum Wohlergehen dieses erhabenen Gottes habe ich jede Bauarbeit im "Gold-Haus" des "Vollkommenen Platzes" geleitet. Ich habe nicht aufgehört, bei Nacht und bei Tag Anordnungen in den Balsamierungsstätten zu treffen, damit dieser große Gott zum Schönen Westen geht. Jedermann preist und lobt diesen da, seinen Stadtgott. Aufgrund dessen, was er tut, liebt ihn sein Gott.
