The messenger (?) goes out into the desert after he has bequeathed his possessions to his children. Filled with fear of lions and (of) Asians, he only recognizes himself (again) when he is near Egypt, arriving there in the swamp. When he reaches his house in the evening, the walking has exhausted him (lit.: cut him off). He tends to go out (i.e., to leave?), with his $dꜣjw$-apron being a package (lit.: brick). Satisfaction will not set in. The charcoal burner (?): his fingers are decayed; their smell (lit.: the smell of it) is (that of) corpses. His eyes are squinted/sunken (lit.: bent down) {because of a weakness} 〈due to weakness〉. He will 〈not〉 fend off anyone from his place. He spends the day cutting {old clothes} 〈reeds〉. His clothing is what he abhors (lit.: his abomination). The sandal maker: he is very depressed, {for he must beg (plead?)} 〈burdened with his vessels of oil〉 until eternity. If he is unharmed, then I am unharmed from corpses. What he bites are animal hides.

Wenn er sein Haus am Abend erreicht, hat ihn das Gehen erledigt (wörtl.: abgeschnitten). Er pflegt hinauszugehen (d.h. wegzugehen?), indem sein $dꜣjw$-Schurz ein Paket (wörtl.: Ziegel) ist. Zufriedenheit wird sich nicht einstellen. Der Köhler (?): seine Finger sind verwest; ihr Geruch (wörtl.: der Geruch davon) ist (der von) Leichnamen. Seine Augen sind zusammengekniffen/eingefallen (wörtl.: niedergebeugt) {wegen eines Schwachen} 〈vor Schwäche〉. Er wird 〈keinen〉 von seiner Stelle abwehren. Er verbringt den Tag mit dem Schneiden von {alten Kleidern} 〈Schilf〉. Seine Kleidung ist, was er verabscheut (wörtl.: sein Abscheu). Der Sandalenmacher: er ist sehr deprimiert, {da muß er bis in Ewigkeit (um Sachen) bitten/flehen (betteln?)} 〈beladen mit seinen Gefäßen mit Öl〉. Ist er unversehrt, so bin ich unversehrt von Leichen. Das was er beißt, sind Tierhäute.
